New World Amrine Excavation Guide


Amrine Excavation expeditions are the first of many raid dungeons in New World, and if you’ve been a part of the game from the beginning, you may already be familiar with how you need a party to withstand the damage from dreadful monsters residing within it. You need to consider brushing up on utilizing your best weapons while defining whether you’re a supporting or DPS character.

Similar to the raid dungeons in most of the MMO games, Amrine splits into several segments. The vast majority of it is straightforward if you have the right party composition; however, there are a few hurdles along the path that you may stump upon on your first time.

Amrine Excavation Tips

The excavation is located in Windsward; north of the territory or settlement, west of Noblereach, and east of the fort. You are required to have an Amrine Tuning Orb, which is made by a tier-two Stonecutter. You need the following items to craft the tuning orb – 10x Corrupted Silver, x1 Iron Chisel, x50 Stone Block, and x1 Eternal Heart in this New World Expedition Guide. The recommended level to approach the dungeon is 25, and it is recommended to have at least two healers and three DPS-centred characters to complete it with ease.

Amrine Excavation Strategy

Speaking in terms of the team composition, even though everyone is at level 25 or above, you will need two healers for the final dungeon room. The reason is that there should be someone always healing the party members because there are times that healers are distracted with dodging the attacks from the boss. A couple of DPS-centred allies with the best weapon types would be to the party’s advantage for this New World Expedition Guide. Besides that, status ailments are a good way for additional bonuses, but they aren’t really required to complete the dungeon.

Yes, the dungeon is fairly easy, but there are three main rooms or locations that you need to be mindful of as you enter them. Let’s have a look –

Halfway around you’ll come across a shrine, and right before you activate it, make sure that you clear out the enemies in the surrounding area for New World Amrine Excavation. The reason behind that is because activating the shrine spawns the mid-dungeon boss called Nakashima’s Ghost.

While you’re in a battle against the boss, make sure to dodge or move out of the purple circle when it appears. It’s because his astral projections inflict immense damage on that spot.

Once the boss has been defeated, step on the three pressure pads and trigger the bridge. Plan accordingly and then reunite somewhere on the ground floor as the re-spawning of enemies may overwhelm the non-DPS party members.
Before triggering the boss fight by attacking his shield, make sure that everyone has successfully made their way into the room, because if the main door closes, then the player will be left out.

The boss that you will come across here is called Simon Grey. He’s an ogre-like enemy who generates a great deal of damage. So, have your healers ready at all times.

You need to make sure that the minions near Simon grey are killed, or your party will start to lose their health rapidly for New World Amrine Escavation. Thus, failing to complete the dungeon.

Finally, while Simon Grey is targeting you, make sure that your entire focus is on dodging his attacks, as he can easily wipe out your health if you’re not careful.

Rare Item Rewards

While it’s not guaranteed that you will receive the following items upon completing the expedition, but there’s a chance that you may just walk out with rare loot. These are bound on pickup, making expeditions un-farmable for additional items to stock and make a fortune out of them. However, you can always dismantle the items to obtain spare parts.

SIMON GREY’S TOOTHPICK – Type: Rapier. Tier: III. Scales with: Dexterity/Intelligence. Weight: 4.0. Level requirement: 25. Gear Score: 370. Damage: 269. Critical hit chance: 5.0%. Critical Damage multiplier: 1.4. Block stamina damage: 28.0. Blocking stability: 15%. Thrust damage: 111. +17 Dexterity. Keen: +7.4% critical chance. Keenly Empowered: On critical, gain 15% Empower for five seconds (Cooldown ten seconds).

FLARE SPARK – Type: Fire Staff. Tier: III. Scales with: Intelligence. Weight: 11.2. Level requirement: 27. Gear Score: 355. Damage: 232. Critical hit chance: 4.0%. Critical Damage multiplier: 1.2. Block stamina damage: 28.0. Blocking stability: 15%. Fire damage: 100. +16 Intelligence. Accelerating Flamethrower: Applying three stacks of burn damage on a target with Flamethrower grants Haste, increasing movement speed by 14% for two seconds. Refreshing Evasion: Reduces active cooldowns by 0.73% after exiting the dodge animation.

DARKNESS DEFINED – Type: Great Axe. Tier: III. Scales with: Strength. Weight: 9.6. Level requirement: 25. Gear Score: 370. Damage: 317. Critical hit chance: 3.0%. Critical Damage multiplier: 1.4. Block stamina damage: 56.0. Blocking stability: 25%. Slash damage: 149. +17 Strength. Chain Void: On a hit, cause a Chain Void attack that bounces between close targets. Does not trigger off persistent damage or DoT effects. Enchanted: Light and Heavy attacks deal 7.5% more damage.

SIMON’S HACKSILVER RING – Type: Jewelry. Tier: III. Weight: 0.1. Level requirement: 25. Gear Score: 370. +17 Strength. Physical Ward II: 1.5% physical damage absorption. Slash damage: You deal 4% more slash damage.

NAKASHIMA’S KEEPSAKE – Type: Jewelry. Tier: III. Weight: 0.1. Level requirement: 25. Gear Score: 370. +14 Intelligence. Physical Ward II: 1.5% physical damage absorption. Mana Recovery: When you are hit while below 50%, gain 75 mana (60 seconds cooldown). Does not trigger off persistent damage or DoT effects.

Approximate Materials Required

1 x Copper Rod, 134 x Strange Dust, 10 x Greater Magic Essence, 10 x Simple Wood – vendor, 25 x Lesser Astral Essence, 120 x Soul Dust, 155 x Vision Dust, 20 x Purple Lotus, 25 x Lesser Nether Essence, 15 x Lesser Eternal Essence, and 230 x Dream Dust.

Burning Crusade – Outlands: 340 x Arcane Dust, 5 x Large Prismatic Shard, 20 x Lesser Planar Essence, 15 x Nightmare Vine, and 15 x Crystal Vial – vendor.

Wrath of the Lich King – Northrends: 102 x Infinite Dust, 27 x Greater Cosmic Essence, 15 Abyss Crystal, and 3 x Dream Shard.

Cataclysm: 353 x Hypnotic Dust, 10 x Lesser Celestial Essence, and 30 x Greater Celestial Essence.

Pandaria: 120 x Spirit Dust and 34 x Mysterious essence.

Levels 1 to 50

To start off, visit any of the enchanting trainers in the capital city of the Old Azeroth, and if you can’t find the exact location, you can ask any of the guards that are wandering around the city. Once that’s done, start making Runed Copper Rods till level 2, which requires Copper Rod, Strange Dust, and Lesser Magic Essence. After that, switch to Disenchanting green quality items till you reach level 50. Alternatively, you can cast Enchant Bracer: Minor Health, which requires Strange Dust.

Levels 50 to 135

From level 50, you can start with Enchant Bracer: Minor Health, requiring Strange Dust to make. Continue the process till level 90, and then switch to Enchant Bracer: Minor Stamina till level 100 (Requirement: Strange Dust). If you feel that Greater Magic Essence is too expensive for you to purchase, then you can continue with Strange Dust enchantment till level 120. In case you have a good supply of Greater Magic Essence and Simple Wood, you can start will enchanting Greater Magic Wands from level 100 to 110. Simple Wood can be bought from a supply vendor, located nearby your respective trainer. At level 110, you have to head to the Stonetalon Mountains (Horde Faction Players) or Ashenvale (Alliance Faction Players) to locate Kulwia or Dalria, respectively. Purchase the two recipes called Enchant Bracer: Lesser Strength and Enchant Cloak: Minor Agility from them and start making the formulas to level 135. Enchant Cloak: Minor Agility will require you to have Lesser Astral Essences.

Levels 135 to 220

It’s time for you to make Enchant Bracer: Lesser Stamina, requiring Soul Dust, till level 155, and then switch to Enchant Bracer: Lesser Strength (same requirement) till level 185. Alternatively, from level 165, you can choose to make Enchant Bracer: Spirit, requiring Lesser Mystic Essences, till level 185. Finally, you can switch to Enchant Bracer: Strength till level 220, requiring you to have Vision Dust.

Levels 220 to 300

At level 220 for your World Of Warcraft enchanting levelling, start with Enchant Cloak: Greater Defence, requiring Vision Dust, and if the following levels are too expensive then continue the same till level 230, or else Enchant Gloves: Agility (Lesser Nether Essence and Vision Dust) from 225 to 230. Now, switch to Enchant Boots: Stamina (Vision Dust) till 235, Enchant Chest: Superior Health (Vision Dust) till 240, and then Enchant Boots: Lesser Accuracy (Vision Dust and Lesser Nether Essence) till level 250. If you can get the Enchant Bracer: Greater Stamina formula from the Auction House or a random world drop, then it’s best to use that from level 245 to 265. Otherwise, make Lesser Mana Oil, requiring Dream Dust, Purple Lotus, and Crystal Vial, from levels 250 to 260. The recipe can be bought from Kania, located at Silithus. For the rest of the levels, use the formulas Enchant Bracer: Greater Intellect (Lesser Eternal Essence) till level 265 and Enchant Shield: Greater Stamina (Dream Dust) till level 300.

Levels 300 to 350

From levels 300 to 310, you can start using the formula Enchant Bracer: Lesser Assault (Arcane Dust), and then switch to Enchant Bracer: Brawn (Arcane Dust) till level 320. Now, use Enchant Gloves: Assault till 330, requiring 96 Arcane Dust, followed by Enchant Shield: Major Stamina (Arcane Dust) till level 335. You can now buy the necessary recipes from Madame Ruby at Shattarath City to make Enchant Shield: Resilience (Large Prismatic Shard and Lesser Planar Essence) till level 340, and then switch to Superior Wizard Oil (Arcane Dust, Nightmare Vine, and Crystal Vials). Crystal Vials can be bought from any supply or alchemy vendors, and the recipe will turn yellow during the process so you might need to make around 14 – 16 for this wow levelling guide.

Levels 350 to 426

From level 350 in this wow enchanting guide, you can start with Enchant Cloak: Speed (Infinite Dust) till level 375, Enchant Glover: Gatherer (Greater Cosmic Essence) till level 390, and then switch to Abyssal Shatter (Abyss Crystal) till level 405. If Infinite Dust is cheaper than Greater Cosmic Essence, then make Enchant Bracers: Assault and Enchant Bracers: Exceptional Intellect, rather than the two mentioned. Abyss Crystal can be obtained from the old Northrend raid instances. If you can’t obtain Abyss Crystal, then make Enchant Boots: Icewalker (Infinite Dust and Crystalized Water) from level 390 to 396, and then switch to Enchant Cloak: Superior Agility (Infinite Dust) till level 405. Finally, from level 405, start with Enchant Gloves: Expertise (Infinite Dust) till level 411, Enchant Gloves: Precision (Greater Cosmic Essence) till level 423, and Enchant Cloak: Major Agility (Infinite Dust and Dream Shards) till level 426.

Levels 426 to 500

From this point onwards in the wow enchanting guide, it’s best that you add most of the enchants on a Vellum, and then sell it at the Auction House. From level 426, start with Enchant Boots: Earthen Vitality (Hypnotic Dust) till level 440, Enchant Cloak: Lesser Power (Hypnotic Dust) till level 445, Enchant Gloves: Haste (Hypnotic Dust and Lesser Celestial Essence) till level 465, and Enchant Cloak: Intellect (Hypnotic Dust) till level 475. If Heavenly Shards are cheaper on your realm, then level up with Enchant Ring: Intellect till 495, or else continue with the following. Enchant Gloves: Exceptional Strength (Hypnotic Dust and Greater Celestial Essence) from level 475 to 480, Enchant Boots: Major Agility (Hypnotic Dust and Greater Celestial Essence) till level 485, Enchant Gloves: Greater Expertise (Same requirement as the previous one) till level 490, Enchant Shield: Mastery (Hypnotic Dust) till level 495, and finally Enchant Bracer: Precision (Hypnotic Dust and Greater Celestial Essence) all the way till level 500.

Levels 500 to 600

You can start off with Enchant Bracer: Mastery, requiring Spirit Dust, till level 526, and then switch to Enchant Boots: Greater Precision, requiring Spirit Dust and Mysterious Essence till level 550. Alternatively, you can go with Enchant Bracer: Major Dodge or Enchant Cloak: Superior Intellect. Now you will have two options; either go with making Ring Enchants (Spirit Dust) and Enchant Chest: Superior Stamina (Spirit Dust and Mysterious Essence) from levels 550 to 557 or Enchant Gloves: Superior Expertise, requiring Mysterious Essence. Finally, make Enchant Chest: Glorious Stats, requiring Spirit Dust and Mysterious Essence all the way till level 600, or alternatively, you can choose to go with recipes Enchant Offhand: Major Intellect or Enchant Gloves: Superior Mastery.

World of Warcraft Cataclysm

If you’re stuck wearing the infamous nostalgia goggles then you probably haven’t realized this: World of Warcraft has only gotten better. While the simplicity of vanilla World of Warcraft may be gone, this isn’t a bad thing. The endless grinding that has been linked to MMORPGs still exists to a degree in World of Warcraft, but every expansion and patch that comes it gets chopped down further and further. The game has become more accessible, more creative in questing and it’s never been easier to get into the game and start enjoying current content rather than being stuck in Blackrock Spire or farming those badges of Justice in Karazhan.
The game moves forward later this year with its third expansion: Cataclysm, with a bevy of new features and game play advancements that are already cleaning up the mess of statistics that can make decisions more of a headache than any type of fun.

The big story is obviously the namesake of the expansion: Cataclysm. Azeroth is being torn asunder by the return of Deathwing from Deepholm and the reverberations of his return will filter throughout the entire world. This isn’t your nostalgia fan’s recycled content that we got to see twice over in Wrath of the Lich King, this is all knew foundation shattering changes that are going to be a blast exploring. Even if you’ve only played the game during Wrath of the Lich King, being able to see how all of the leveling zones have been altered is going to reinvigorate the world and players will probably regain the sense of exploration that’s supposed to come from MMORPGs.

Beyond the worldly changes the expansion is introducing two new races, just as the Burning Crusade had done along with the old races having access to new classes. From what’s already been released the unique questing experience that was afforded to Death Knights is going to be given to the Goblins and the Worgen. The questing experience is also going to be changed for the rest of the world, but just how innovative Blizzard has become remains to be seen. In addition other features will include new and rated battlegrounds, an attempt to bring back World PvP and long forgotten zones opened up for leveling and raiding. Oh and you can finally fly in Azeroth.

While those may be the biggest points, the eye-candy for those who haven’t played World of Warcraft yet, there are a bevy of smaller features that veterans should be happy about. Gear has been a constant issue since the game was released: the competition over gear and the knowledge of who should get what is a problem that many casual and those without guilds deal with on a regular basis. Blizzard has revamped all stats and gear including armor penetration, attack power, agility and spirit in order to make it less of an issue as to who should be wearing what.

If you have even the slightest interesting playing World of Warcraft: Cataclysm then prepared to set aside a few days, call in sick for work and make sure you have enough sugar to keep you going because if the past two expansions have taught us anything, Blizzard truly knows how to improve upon their product.

Runescape Melee Guide

This guide is for non-members. It won’t have any member’s features, so don’t worry about not being a member.
First of all, let’s go over what armor you should use. Never use magic armor. Use either ranged or melee armor. For magic defense use the best ranged armor that you can use. The same goes for melee, but use a full helmet and a kiteshield. For boots use the Stronghold of Security boots, or leather boots. For gloves use either the green dragonhide vambraces, worn rune gauntlets (or your best type of armor gauntlets), or the Stronghold of Player Safety gloves. Wear any type of cape and an amulet of power.

For a weapon you should use one of 3 weapons (use the best metal that you can wear); they are 1) scimitar, 2) 2h sword, or 3) warhammer. The 2h sword will require both hands, and you will lose your shield. This gives you an extra powerful attack, but a smaller defense. It will also cause you to attack slower. The scimitar attacks the fastest, and is pretty powerful. The warhammer isn’t as fast, but is more powerful and specializes in crushing attacks. Most armor is the least powerful against crush type attacks.

For food you should bring one of 3 items. They are swordfish, anchovy pizzas, or chocolate cakes. The swordfish heal 140 each, and each one has one serving. The anchovy pizzas heal 90 per serving, and have 2 servings. The chocolate cakes heal 50 per serving, and have 3 servings. The swordfish are the most effective for battles were fast healing is needed. The anchovy pizzas are best for when you are in long fights and need maximum healing. The cakes are not as useful, but are good if each attack isn’t doing so much damage, so you can spread out the healing. The cakes are best if you have very low health so you won’t waste food.

Also, you can bring a couple other items to use. These include method of teleportation, potions, and runes to cast some spells. These spells include bind, confuse, teleports, teleblock, and weaken. Also you should bring some way to teleport away from battle (Explorer’s Ring, Ring of Kinship, and Runecrafting Guild Teleport Tab). The strength potion increases your strength by 2 for a minute or so. Also, each potion has 4 uses, so you don’t need to bring many.

There are also weaknesses to being a melee type battler. You will not be able to do magic well. Also, you cannot hit people that aren’t right in front of you. This makes you vulnerable to mages and rangers. The rangers will have a hard time damaging you, but the mages will be even more effective against you. Also your armor is heavy so you will be outrun if you try to catch somebody or run away. So on a PVP world your target will be able to get away if they are losing, and in addition you will not be able to escape from a mage that is trying to kill you.

Skill wise you will need 5 main skills; they are Prayer, Attack, Defense, Strength, and Constitution. Magic, ranged, and summoning are not useful and will increase your combat level without increasing how effective you are. However, magic will increase your resistance to magic, but will also increase your level.

World of Warcraft: How to Choose a Class

The best way to choose a class is to decide what role you enjoy. This may seem like an easy decision, but there’s much more to choosing a class. Almost every class in WoW can take on more than one role. For example, a Druid can tank, heal, and deal damage in either a melee or spellcaster role. Because of this, if you wish to play more than one role, certain classes may resonate closer than others.
Druids can fill almost any role. They are able to tank, heal, and inflict damage via melee combat or spellcasting. Because of this, they are a great choice for new players. The talent trees for Druids are Feral (tanking and melee combat), Balance (ranged DPS), and Restoration (healing). The Druid class is available to Night Elves and Tauren.

Hunters are ranged DPS that rely on pets. They deal damage by using a bow, gun, or crossbow. They also are able to use traps and other abilities to debuff their enemies. Talent trees for Hunters are Marksmanship (improving their ranged DPS), Beast Mastery (improving pets), and Survival (improving traps and melee combat). The Hunter class is available to Night Elves, Dwarves, Draenei, Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, and Blood Elves.

Mages are ranged spellcasters. They fit the role of a traditional wizard. They use the elements of fire, frost, and arcane to deal damage to their enemies. They are also able to use “crowd control” abilities to temporarily disable opponents to make a fight easier. The three talent trees for Mages are Fire, Frost, and Arcane, all of which improving the element the tree is named after. The Mage class is available to Humans, Gnomes, Draenei, Trolls, Undead, and Blood Elves.

Paladins are a hybrid class, much like Druids. Paladins can take the role of a tank, healer, or melee DPS. They also give valuable buffs in the form of their Blessings and Auras. The three talent trees for Paladins are Holy (healing), Protection (tanking), and Retribution (melee DPS). The Paladin class is available to Humans, Dwarves, Draenei, and Blood Elves.

Priests are the typical healing class, although they can also take on the role of ranged DPS. Priests are arguably the best healers in the game. They will generally be expected to heal for a group, which makes playing a Priest difficult for players who do not enjoy healing. By choosing the Shadow talent tree, Priests can become vicious ranged DPS as well. The Shadow tree also has Vampiric Touch, an ability that returns a certain amount of mana to party members. Priests can choose from the Discipline (survivability and buffing), Holy (healing), and Shadow (ranged DPS) trees. The Priest class is available to Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Draenei, Undead, Trolls, and Blood Elves.

Rogues are the assassins of WoW. They rely on stealth rather than face-to-face confrontations. They are undoubtedly the best melee DPS in the game, but this comes at the price of lacking any real buffs. Rogues can distract enemies and disarm traps to help their party. Rogues can choose from three talent trees; Assassination (improving poisons and similar abilities), Combat (improving their out-of-stealth melee combat), and Subtlety (improving their ability to deal damage while in stealth). The Rogue class is available to Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Undead, Orcs, Trolls, and Blood Elves.

Shamans, like Paladins and Druids, are a hybrid class. They are able to heal allies, go toe-to-toe in melee combat, and utilize spells to deal ranged DPS. Shamans also use totems, which provide unique buffs to the Shaman and his/her group. The talent trees for Shamans are Elemental (ranged DPS), Enhancement (melee DPS), and Restoration (healing). The Shaman class is available to Draenei, Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren.

Warlocks are similar to corrupted Mages. They are ranged DPS that use demons, much like Hunters. Each of these demons have different uses and are used best in certain situations. Warlocks also utilize damage-over-time (DoT) spells. These spells deal a lot of damage and can also kill an enemy once the Warlock has died. The three talent trees for Warlocks are Affliction (improving DoT abilitieS), Demonology (improving the Warlock’s summonable demons), and Destruction (improving the Warlock’s burst DPS). The Warlock class is available to Humans, Gnomes, Orcs, Undead, and Blood Elves.

Warriors are the typical tank class. Because of this, Warriors are typically expected to tank in a group, but can also deal damage effectively. Warriors, probably more than any other class, are extremely gear-dependent. They are also able to utilize any weapon in the game and specialize in a certain type of weapon. The talent trees for Warriors are Arms (two-handed DPS), Fury (dual-wield DPS), and Protection (tanking). The warrior class is available to every race except for Blood Elves.
